Supervises security staff at a medium security facility.
Makes sanitation safety and security inspections of all buildings building contents grounds and vehicles in a medium facility.
Investigates complaints and violations; arbitrates disputes among inmate population and correctional staff.
Supervises and verifies the accuracy of scheduled formal counts and makes informal counts when required.
Trains subordinate security staff and ensure that they perform all assigned duties.
Keeps abreast of current administrative directives pertaining to medium security institutions.
Maintains control of all security keys security devices and equipment vehicle keys and keys to all building.
Conducts security inspections and shakedowns for contraband control.
Prepares and submits written operational and administrative reports.
Assists Captain with maintaining duty roster post assignments leave approvals and employee time keeping in Kronos.
Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
